The Role:
Global Relay is looking for a motivated and diligent Security Analyst who will help to provide and support a suite of security services to our worldwide clients. The successful candidate will provide second level response to security threats and vulnerabilities and will be required to analyze event logs, syslogs, and other data sources to determine the root cause of security events and provide a recommendation to resolve the events.
Role Responsibilities:
• Analyze security events, incidents and problems to provide recommendations on action
• Action on escalated incidents, problems and service requests in a timely manner
• Own and manage tickets through to resolution
• Maintain key relationships to keep staff, clients, and management informed throughout the incident, problem, and change management cycles
• Proactive monitoring of client environments using specialized security applications
• Performing audit and analysis functions on client data
• Undergo ongoing training and certification to maintain technical skills at the highest level
• Participate in after hours on-call rotation
Qualifications:
• 2-5 years hands-on experience working with core information security systems such as firewalls, IPS implementations, antivirus and anti-malware solutions, Arcsight SIEM solutions, two-factor and biometric authentication solutions, content management, and server and network device hardening
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience working with core infrastructure and networking components such as Windows and Linux based servers, L2-L3 network switches and routers
• Proven experience performing analysis of security events to determine root cause and provide resolution
• Certification in security incident and event management systems such as HP ArcSight
• Excellent understanding of a wide variety of communication protocols
• Competence in using an internal and external ticketing system for ITIL-based incident, problem and change management
• Previous experience in troubleshooting day-to-day operational processes such as report generation, data verification, data correlation, etc.
• Excellent oral, written and documentation skills
• Methodical and creative approach to problem-solving
• Superior time management and prioritizing ability
• Flexibility to participate in a 24x7 shift rotation

Recognized security-related certifications (CSSLP, CISSP, CRISC, CISA, etc)
