Technical Sales Engineer
Architech is currently seeking a Sales Technology Strategist. Acting as a CTO for the Sales team, this role requires a unique blend of real-world experience, entrepreneurial zeal and boardroom polish. You will help guide the entire Sales team in crafting the right solutions for our customers, brainstorming technology pursuits, and guiding the Sales team to pursue strategic wins that help grow our organization.
We’re an innovation accelerator. We’ve got the creativity and talent of a design agency, but we deliver stellar products, not fancy brochures. We’re a top software development studio applying Lean thinking and software engineering discipline, but we focus on the user and brand experience to create apps people love to use. We support applications for large deployments like an IT support company, yet we practice modern DevOps to ensure changes can be pushed out easily without costing a fortune.
Your role within the Sales team will vary with each account and each pursuit. We’re looking for someone that goes wide in technology and wants to share knowledge with everyone. As a senior member of our Sales team, you will work to identify clients needs through an innovative and iterative process. Working with us means you’ll:
    Assist in defining and engineering adaptations of products and services that help our clients win.
    Be a crucial part of optimizing and guiding outlined support strategies for future projects.
    Learn and work with the latest web, mobile and cloud solutions and technologies, be in the know on emerging trends, and help our Sales team guide our clients to successful solutions.

Responsibilities:
    Support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions.
    Collaborate with engineering and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
    Work alongside our Solutions team and with our CTO to define strategies in support and pursuit of new solution areas.
    Proactively scope the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assess customers met and unmet needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Architech.
    Secure input from all necessary stakeholders within Architech and the client and adapt technical solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
    Provide product demonstrations, facilitate technical sales workshops and conduct pilots/demos.
    Perform technical requirements analysis, proposal cost development, and provide support in various customer-facing activities.
    Engage in RFPs, POCs, and be the point person in the field for product and technical related questions.
    Participate in sustainable growth of the team through selection and training of new members.
    Apply outstanding communication skills to lead discussions and create technical documentation.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
    Post-secondary education relating to information technology, engineering, or math.
    5+ years of strong development experience, preferably culminating in an architect-type role.
    3+ years of sales engineering experience in a business-to-business, large strategic customer segment, or a record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a sales role.
    Strong ability to articulate technology strategy to both business and technical stakeholders, while establishing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
    Ability to maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced, team environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
    Technical understanding in a range of web services and a strong understanding of one or more of the following platforms: Java, Web-mobile, iOS, or Android.
