Driver, truck-trailer (Long haul)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $50,000.00 Yearly for 60 hours per week, Mileage Paid, Group Insurance Benefits

Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Air Brake Adjustment Certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, Refrigerated
Type of Travel: Short-haul, Long-haul, International
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone
Weight Handling: Not required
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs
Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise, Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers
