Job Description: The Mechanical Technician will be in charge of maintaining the Satellite Ground Terminals (SGT) which is of different types. They all include a set of electronic and mechanical equipment to support the satellite communications. He knows in detail all the technical elements of the SGT, able to replace any failed item down to line replaceable unit level, performs all necessary tests to validate the terminal functions & ensures the terminal parameters are loaded and fit for purposes. After a deployment, he checks the status of the SGT and its elements, and investigates any trouble ticket raised by the users. Education: Graduate from a mechanical technical school, Satellite Communications is preferred. Languages: English and Arabic (spoken / written) are mandatory. Professional skills: Experience in maintaining complex telecommunication systems involving different technologies, understanding and following maintenance procedures, proceed with a logical approach to fix a problem, be rigorous with test and validation procedures.
