Senior Pharmacist – Informatics, Grampians Health. Ballarat, Ballarat & Central Highlands VIC. Pharmacy (Healthcare & Medical). Full time. Senior Pharmacist – Informatics. Grampians Health Ballarat. Permanent Part time - 16 hours per fortnight. Classification: Grade 3.
About the role This new postion will play a key role in the maintenance and implementation of IT systems being used across medication systems and pharmacy services at Grampians Health (GH). The role will support, facilitate and / or coordinate pharmacy and medication related IT initiatives across GH including; informatics projects, reporting, and training. Key focus areas include – i. Pharmacy, pharmacy robotics system, electronic medical record and electronic prescribing.
Key Responsibilities: Implementation of new projects including; electronic drug registers, pharmacist robotics system, and i. Pharmacy integration between GH campuses. Support the maintenance of i. Pharmacy including reporting requirements. Develop and provide staff training for relevant pharmacy information systems. Assist in the planning for future implementation of Automated Drug Storage Cabinets. Participation in the preliminary planning for implementation of EMR.
Skills and experience: Currently hold or be eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Experience in Hospital Pharmacy with experience working with hospital information systems. High degree of computer literacy, particularly use of pharmacy systems, spreadsheets, database management and reporting systems. Experience in project management and ability to implement change effectively.
