Job Overview: Geocentric Public Safety, a leading security company, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented CCTV Operator to join our public safety team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analysing our closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems to enhance public safety within the specified areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities: Monitor CCTV systems to detect and respond to public safety threats or suspicious activities. Operate and navigate through multiple cameras and surveillance equipment efficiently. Report any incidents, irregularities, or security breaches to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel. Maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken during monitoring shifts. Collaborate with public safety ground personnel to coordinate responses to public safety incidents.

Conduct routine checks and inspections of CCTV equipment to ensure proper functioning. Communicate effectively with team members and other relevant departments. Stay updated on public safety procedures, protocols, and technological advancements.

Qualifications: Valid PSIRA registration; additional certifications in security or surveillance are a plus. Proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar role. Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting CCTV equipment and systems. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to surveillance operations.
