Our client, an ICT giant based in Sandton, is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer, to partner across multiple teams to deliver network infrastructure solutions nationwide. This team focuses on deep dives troubleshooting and delivering results for their clients

Responsibilities: Provide on-going support of information security solutions and improving the company's security posture by aiding in the development of security plans and policies, testing for vulnerabilities, and monitoring and investing security breaches. Monitor environments for security breaches and attempted attacks.

Assist in creating phishing campaigns for continued security awareness for internal to recognise, avoid, and report potential threats that can compromise critical data and systems. Provide ongoing cyber security focussed KPI metrics. Partner with Security team in analysing audits, security, and monitoring logs for potential threats and intrusions. The ideal candidate has a passion and desire for security, solving challenges, whilst staying up to date with the latest security trends.

Desired Skill & Experience: A recognized ICT qualification and/or 5+ years plus Security experience. Relevant certification such as Microsoft Technology Associate(MTA) Security Fundamentals, Comp TIA Security+, CCNA Security, SSCP, GISF etc.

Broad knowledge of computer networking, log analysis, information security principles, policies and adversarial tools and techniques. Preferably experience working within a large-scale Cloud environment or distributed systems. Experience monitoring and analysing events with a SIEM system. Good understanding of network protection technologies and best practices.

Ability to understand and act on risk-based assessment and regulatory compliance evaluations. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc). Good knowledge of web related technologies (Web technologies, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture).
