Summary of our company: AMJ Electrical Services (The Switchgear Co) was formed in 1996 to provide a service to heavy industry, light industry and commercial businesses. Our core business is the testing, maintenance, repairs and installations of low and medium voltage switchgear and associated equipment up to 132KV

Personal Requirements: Willing to work long unpredictable hours. Have initiative, energy, be self-motivated and be passionate about their work. Can work under pressure. Have good organisational skills. Have good communication attributes.

Minimum Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience quoting electrical products. Must have an electrical qualification. Must be able to work on a database. Must know the following MS programs: MS Word – MS Excel – MS Outlook.

Must know the following: Searching & filing in file explorer – Searching on the internet. Some basic electrical knowledge will be an added advantage.

The Basic Responsibilities Of The Successful Applicant Will Include: Receive RFQ’S and Tender’s and assess the requirements. Where necessary get additional relevant information required for RFQ’S and tenders. Get pricing from suppliers and create cost sheets. Carry out costing and confirm with respective managers. Create quotations and confirm with respective managers. Compile comprehensive tenders where supporting documents are required. Send RFQ’S / Tenders and ensure customer has received and understands. Search for tenders on websites. Complete and submit required documentation for Vendor applications. Other Data Centre tasks that will be allocated to you.
