Bookkeeper Position, Umhlanga, North Suburbs. Company Name: Astel. A software solutions company, based in Umhlanga, is seeking a Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant to join its team. The company is currently working on a hybrid model but most of the bookkeeping work can be done remotely.

Duties: Processing of bank statements to trial balance and preparation of monthly management accounts. Preparation of monthly customer invoicing, including collections and allocation of receipts. Preparing payments and reconciling creditors. Monthly payroll processing and management of staff benefits administration. Engaging with offshore accountants and authorities on group company requirements and AFS. Preparing and submitting VAT, PAYE and tax returns. Maintain fixed assets register. Maintaining audit trails and assisting with internal controls. Management of staff reimbursements. HR administration duties. Engaging with auditors through annual external audit process. Preparing monthly and ad hoc reports as required. General office administration duties. Assisting the CEO as required.

Qualification and Skills: B Comm or Equivalent Degree/Diploma. Minimum of one years’ relevant experience. Computer literate and proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. Preferably proficient in Sage and VIP or other similar systems. Must be well organized with attention to detail. Good communication skills. Eager to learn and is flexible. Option to work remotely can be discussed.

Salary Between R8k to R10k CTC per month, dependent on experience and qualifications
