Technical Solar Specialist, Milnerton, Northern Suburbs. Company Name: Edge Personnel. Market leader in the manufacture, import, and distribution of quality products in the solar & electrical industry is looking for a Technical Solar Specialist to join their Cape Town team. It will be expected from you to offer advice and solutions on a technical level to their wide range of clients.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in this industry.

Responsibility: You will be responsible for but not limited to: Assist with queries and back orders. Up and cross selling including promotion of specials. Gathering information to accurately identify the customer’s solar needs. Selecting solar energy products and systems to best suit the customer’s needs. Preparing or reviewing designs for the customer’s solar installation. Creating fully customized energy packagers for large-scale solar installations. Providing customers with quotes, sales orders, shipping information, and tax credit information. Providing after-sales service including courtesy calls. Following up on sales quotes. Completing sales order paperwork. Generating potential leads for new accounts. Follow up on back orders.

Education: Matric, Tertiary Qualification (ND / B.Tech Electrical) will be adv. Computer Literate – MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience from the solar industry. Knowledge of South African Standards. Experience with Atex & Electrical environments.

Skills: Excellent networking skills. Strong negotiating skills. Ability to work under pressure. Work with groups, divisional groups & independently. Technically orientated.
