Responsibility: Areas of Responsibility and Accountability Monthly management accounts Processing of journals Bookkeeping up to balance sheet Processing monthly accruals Assistance with budgets and budget review packs Performing General Ledger account reconciliations Rental Reconciliations Expense allocation Obtaining daily figures from Stores Capturing/Importing of bank statements Importing of weekly DTM files – obtained from the various Stores Distribution of proof of payments to Suppliers Completion of Credit Application forms Submission of figures to Head Office Handling of queries Processing of invoices Liaising with respective Stores Assistance during the Interim and Annual Audit process VAT reporting to the accounting office for submission SARS e-filing May be required to perform additional ad hoc duties, as required within the Company

Pastel is essential and you must speak Afrikaans as most suppliers are Afrikaans.

You must have worked with different business entities at once, like someone working for an accounting firm doing external clients. This is a very pressurized role as you will be dealing with the books of 6 stores and will also have suppliers that are sometimes very demanding to deal with so you must have a backbone.
