Debtors Clerk, Durbanville, Northern Suburbs. Company Name: Portland Readymix. Portland Group is looking for a full-time DEBTORS CLERK at our group of companies. Our office is situated outside Durbanville on Vissershok Road.

This position reports to the Financial Manager but works independently. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the full debtor's function. The A-Z of debtors - from credit applications, invoicing, and statements up to collecting outstanding debt.

Key Responsibilities: Collecting payments before deliveries (daily). Proforma invoicing. Reconciliation of accounts. Print weekly invoices and create invoices for extra services delivered. Monthly statement recons, sending, and all communication. Follow up on age analysis (debt collection). Handle credit applications. Control credit limits via CGIC. Dealing with customer-related inquiries. Professional communication (written and verbal). Internal liaising with various departments on deliveries etc.

Minimum Requirements: At least a definite 5 years of debtors' function experience. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Batchman will be an advantage, Grade 12 has, High level of numeracy and literacy. Excellent interpersonal skills.

This position offers a market-related salary - dependent on qualifications and previous experience. (R15000 to R20000) Employees become a member of a provident fund after their 3 month probation period. The annual close down is in December/January during the builder’s holiday. Working hours are from 8:00 to 17:00, but only until 15:00 on a Friday.
