Canteen Assistant, Springs, East Rand. Company Name: Company Wellness Solutions. Job Vacancy- Canteen Assistant. My client in the Wellness Solutions industry is looking for a canteen assistant to assist operations of a canteen situated at one of clients’ premises in Springs Gauteng.

Responsibilities and Duties: Ensure the canteen/kiosk area is adequately stocked at all times. Assist in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the canteen environs. Assist in the preparation of food to be sold through the canteen. Cleaning of canteen equipment, shelves, and fridges. Serving of customers to the canteen. Cash register operation and cash handling. Other duties as delegated by canteen coordinator/supervisor.

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational and time management abilities. Numeracy skills, Leadership skills, Experience in a food outlet/retailer (desirable). Appropriate training, including food handling, will be provided.

Personal attributes: Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to communicate with players, parents, and committee members. Energetic and well organized, paying particular attention to personal cleanliness, courteous, and trustworthy.

You need 2 – 3 years minimum experience in a similar role. languages as required English read, write and speak fluently.

Understanding and experience of the following: good understanding of how a kitchen works and of food and beverage hygiene and quality standards and health and safety, enthusiasm and hardworking, high integrity and honesty in all dealings, ability to work under pressure, Personal hygiene and appearance kept neat and professional at all times.

Salary: R6 000 per month
