Head of Security, Roodepoort, Johannesburg. Company Name: Senegal Security. Head of Security Wanted. A position has arisen in the fast-growing security company for the position of Chief Security Officer.

The roles for this position are: The CSO will lead security initiatives and heads the overall security strategy of the company. This includes performing security risk assessments and implementing security policies that prevent theft, break-ins, loss, and fraud. Responding to new threats and upgrading security systems for the organization and clients regularly are key aspects of this role.

The CSO will manage the corporate security response to incidents -- this includes investigation, crisis management, and dealing with external security agencies like SAPPS. Strong research competencies are required for risk mitigation and regulatory compliance. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary for incident response and crisis management. Strong communication skills are essential to deal effectively with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. These include law enforcement agencies, SAPS, internal management, and different clients.

Leadership and management skills are also a must, given the seniority of this role. The candidate must have sufficient experience dealing with security incidents and leading security operations at the mid-management level to be considered suitable for the CSO role. And be able to lead a team of 120 Security officers.

The person should be computer literate, any IT qualification will be a distinct advantage

 Qualifications: (i) At least five (5) years experience at a senior management role in the security Industry

(ii) A security qualification or an ex-member of the government security services department

(iii) Should hold a current PSIRA Certificate

(iv) Have a valid driver’s license
