Warehouse Manager, Parow, Northern Suburbs. Leading company based in the Northern Suburbs is recruiting for a qualified and experienced Warehouse Manager, with at least 3 -5 years’ experience within an operations, logistics or distribution environment.

Responsibility: The ideal incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to: Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an ongoing basis. Prevent and manage shrinkage and damages, conduct investigations. Maintaining housekeeping standards. To assist Operations manager when on leave, alternate weekends or sick in all aspects of the Operations functions.

Supervise incoming of goods and further flow thereof. Supervise sorting and processing of goods. Supervise outgoing goods. Plan all vehicle loads and routes. Stock Control, Manage and execute fire evacuation. Manage health and safety plan. Lead and train members. Logistics – check and maintain vehicles daily and weekly routines. Coordinate vehicle service plans. Manage licence renewals. Manage drivers’ licence and statutory requirements.

Qualification: Matric. Diploma / Certificate Logistics / Operations / Warehouse Management will be highly adv. Computer Literate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 3- 5 Years’ experience. Understanding of the supply chain from buying, selling to distribution. Extensive knowledge of occupational health & safety within the warehousing environment.

Driver’s License with PDP, Code 10 will be adv. Forklift license will be adv. Knowledge of scrap metal, PET, other plastics, carton will be beneficial.

Attributes: Very good communication skills and ability to plan well. Ability to coach employees to work more efficiently and have the capacity to manage people dynamics. High energy levels. Disciplined and presentable. Ability to work independently and be part of a team. Strong administrative skills. Must be willing to work overtime as and when required.
