Junior Project Manager (Electronic Security & Fire detection), Brackenfell, Northern Suburbs. Company Name: Southern CrossFire. Industry-specific - Electronic Security & Fire detection Project manager. The role of the Junior Project Manager is to support the Technical Director in ensuring delivery of quality service; assists in managing projects (Electronic Security, Fire detection & Gas suppression) effectively from start to completion.

(Essential functions, not limited to): Need to travel daily (between office and project sites). Managing of the project from start to completion - Includes Liaising & meeting with clients. Attend site meetings (Drafting of all minutes of project meetings). Compiling of project plans with timelines – Includes liaising with Design Engineer to draft a project plan per project. Distributing of the project plan to clients/end users. Building relationships with Internal & External third parties (I.e: Suppliers, Support centers, and Technical centers). Managing installation teams & Determining resource requirements accordingly. Managing sub-contractors and Setting up project coordination meetings. Managing project budgets & Drafting of project progress reports. Ordering of stock. Managing of Job cards. Managing Safety File submission and approval and implementing all H&S protocols.

Ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed by contract documents & customer expectations (Preparing of project handover files for submission). Managing project delays & communication thereof (proactively avoiding any penalties). Provide technical & operational support for the Technical Director and Sales teams.

Minimum Requirements: A Grade 12 Senior certificate is the minimum acceptable level of education. 5 Years of Electronic Security and/ or Fire detection installation experience. 2 Years in a Management / Supervisor position. Valid driver's license. PSIRA Certified. SAQCC Certified (Minimum level – Commissioner). Access control installation, testing & Commissioning knowledge. (Impro, Gallagher, etc.) CCTV IP installation, testing & Commissioning knowledge. (Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, Hikvision, etc.) Fire detection installation, testing & Commissioning knowledge. (Conventional & Addressable systems.)

Computer literacy. Project and people management skills. Organizational skills. Problem-solving skills. Prioritizing and Time management skills. Young, energetic, and analytical by nature. Excellent writing and communication skills. Neat, professional, and presentable.

Additionally, the following basic experience will be advantageous: Alarms system, Electric Fence, Fibre, and DSTV knowledge. Gas suppression system knowledge.
