We are looking for an energetic and autonomous individual who is highly motivated to succeed to become a highly visible member of our dynamic sales team and who will represent Topcon Canada Inc. professionally and responsibly.
Working from your home located in the Vancouver area, and reporting to our Calgary office, your territory will consist of the province of British Columbia. Here is an opportunity for you to build on an existing customer base and expand it. You will promote, sell and service some of the most exciting ophthalmic instruments available today.
Key responsabilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
 Promoting the sale of ophthalmic instrumentation, including digital imaging system to British Columbia based ophthalmologists, optometrists, and opticians;
 Installation and training of the equipment sold, as well as support of that equipment after the sale;
 Focusing on existing and new business to business account development;
 Expansion of the company's sales of products within the assigned territory;
 Conducting prospecting and tactical calling activities regularly in the field;
 Setting appointments with prospects and present our product lines;
 Developing and qualifying leads within the territory to drive new business opportunities;
 Negotiating and closing business ensuring the successful installation of the product;
 Maintaining of a contact/lead database for the territory;
 Attendance at local and regional shows, and occasionally national trade shows at the request of management;
 Consistently meeting sales quotas and revenue goals;
 Prepare reports af sales activities and upcoming agenda.
Skills and Qualifications
 Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated Business to Business outside sales experience (industry experience a plus);
 Bachelor's degree in Science (Health related preferred) or in Business (Sales or Marketing preferred);
 Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for selling;
 Experience in selling capital equipment;
 Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical and reasoning skills;
 Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade individuals and groups;
 Strong work ethics, competitive drive, and time management skills;
 Solid prospecting abilities & excellent customer relationship skills;
 Enthusiastic drive to succeed with obvious confidence and competitive nature;
 Skillful negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities;
 Demonstrated ability to meet goals and overcome obstacles;
 Valid drivers' license and access to a car;
 Strong computer skills and technical skills is an asset;
 Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system preferred.
