HR Officer - Accounting Firm, Observatory, Southern Suburbs. An independent firm of Chartered Accountants in the Southern Suburbs is seeking a suitably experienced HR Officer from an accounting firm (No negotiation).

Purpose of the job: The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all Human Resources matters within the firm. (Chartered Accountants).

Minimum requirements: 3 years or more experience in a similar role (handling HR within an Accounting & Auditing firm essential). You must have experience in an accounting firm - you will not be considered if you don't have this.

Matric Certificate or Equivalent. Human Resources Certificate / Diploma / Degree. Good knowledge of the relevant Acts (BCEA, LA, EEA, etc.) TERS experience would be advantageous.

Responsibility: Maintain employee records. Manage all day-to-day queries. Organize social events: Year-end function and adhoc.

Manage recruitment processes: Place advertisements internally. Liaise with Recruitment agencies on selected vacancies. Shortlist candidates and prepare for interviews. Coordinate and participate in the interview process. Full responsibility and coordination of the onboarding process. Full responsibility and coordination of the offboarding process. Disciplinary and grievance matters. Consolidation and submission of training information to FASSET (Sector Education and Training Authority (Seta) for the Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting, and Other Financial Services sector).

Ensure all changes to employment are communicated to the payroll department - recruitment, terminations, etc. Full staff Training coordinating and scheduling. Coordination of Career fairs and managing the recruitment process of SAICA trainees. Facilitate Induction Programme for Trainees. Monitor trainee's study progress. Manage trainee's study leave. Support the Audit Department with trainee/SAICA related matters as needed.

Assist the Business Operations Manager from time to time. Maintain and update company policies and communicate to employees. Attend annual labor inspections. TERS.

Skills or competencies: Good communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to pay high attention to detail. The ability to work independently is essential. Ability to work under pressure; Ability to deal effectively and confidently with individuals at all levels; Kindly indicate your salary expectations as well as notice period when applying for this position.
