Storekeeper at Construction Site, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. Storekeeper At Construction Site. Residential Developer in Port Elizabeth looking for a Storekeeper for immediate full-time employment.

Responsibilities tasks: Record the store material receipts and consumption on a daily basis. Checking the stock as per records. Receiving materials, stocking, recording of all receipts, prepare quality reports of all received materials. Inspect incoming stock for conformity to purchase orders; report shortages, damages or other discrepancies immediately to Quantity Surveyor.

Hand out material to be used for the day to subcontractors and update record on display boards regarding stock. Recollecting any balance/unused materials at the end of the working days. Prepare fortnightly consumption reports jointly with the Quantity Surveyor. Prepare lists of excess materials. General supervision on the construction sures regarding wastage of material, improper use of material.

Make sure subcontractors leave sites clean at all times hand out fixed assets and tools (rammers, compactors, drills, concrete mixers, generators,) and make sure all assets come back in perfect working conditions and clean make fortnightly update to the assets and tools records and walk with supervisor flag immediately when a tool / asset needs maintenance and coordinate repairs make sure all storage rooms and containers are locked and alarms on clean storage rooms and parking bays reports of empty cement bags and empty paint drums received back from subcontractors maintain records of watermeters; check if no leaks on site deliveries of material on-site

Requirements: Multiple years on-site experience in construction in a supportive role with storekeeping, inventory control or record-keeping. A valid drivers license is a must (minimal code 8). Good computer working knowledge; experience and knowledge of ERP is a strong point. Person must live in Port Elizabeth close to Lorraine/Charlo. Excellent physical condition for outside work. Work involves intense physical labor. Good organizational skills.
