Sales Agent, City Centre, Durban City. A furniture retailer based in West street (Durban CBD) is looking for an independent sales agent who will not be based in the store and will work on a commission basis (No basic salary).

The agent will be given the necessary catalogue containing the company's furniture and is expected to establish his/her own customer base. The commission structure due to the Agent is 10.5% of the gross profit.

This payment structure is explained below: let's use a lounge suite that is selling for R10 000 as an example. In order to get to the agent's commission we first subtract the VAT, and subtract the cost price of the lounge suite, and then calculate the 10.5% commission from the gross profit. e.g

10.5%  commission on a Lounge suite that is selling for R10000 with a cost price of R5000 would be equal to R388. The R388 is the money due to the sales agent immediately when that sale goes through. The more products you sell, the more money you make. You can write your own pay cheque.
