At a time when many newspapers across the country are cutting staff and print days, The Alexander City (AL) Outlook is looking to expand and continue our editorial success by adding an experienced senior reporter/writer to our team. We are an established, dynamic newspaper and have been recognized nationally and statewide for our successful blend of print, web and digital.

Job requirements include a demonstrated background in compelling features, solid reporting ability and some experience with investigative journalism. Basic photography skills and working knowledge of social and digital media is a huge plus.

You’ll be part of a news operation of passionate journalists who have made this community their home and are dedicated to quality writing, reporting and design while always keeping integrity at the forefront.

We are a 5,500 circulation, 5-day a week daily located near Lake Martin, one of the largest recreational lakes in the South and just a short distance from Auburn University. Additionally, we publish three weekly newspapers and two magazines which ring the lake, giving The Outlook and TPI a massive geographic area full of wonderful stories to tell.
