TRS Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a high caliber Human Resources to join our client's team of experienced professionals, working  North East of Quebec City.
    Provide the operational leadership necessary to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental best practices and any applicable legislation.
    Support and deliver on courageous leadership behavior.
    Facilitate the creation of a workplace climate, which ensures minimum disruption to work due to employee relations issues and work stoppages.
    Provide operational leadership to the Human Resources team to ensure the development of a working environment that is conducive to the achievement of budgeted Department KPIs and that employees achieve their full potential by gaining new knowledge & skills through the provision of effective coaching and training programs.
    Coordinate employee performance management processes to ensure optimum employee performance and identify and remedy substandard performance and behaviour.
    Support the VP HR to ensure that targets for resources, capital management, cost control, safe working, employee development and corporate governance are achieved.
    Overall accountability and responsibility for the Employee Relations discipline/function
    Manage the performance and deliverables of staff members
    Provide Human Resources management in the following core areas:
        Workforce planning for the entire staff complement and contractors
        HR Process mapping and alignment for all our clients operations including Standard operating Procedures (SOP)
        Support implementation of HR Management Information Systems / ONEHRiS
        Support Implementation and maintenance of the HAY Job grading system
        Provide guidance and leadership in employees relations
        Annual negotiations – facilitation role and support chief negotiator as required
        Building and maintaining good union relationships
Additional points
    Assists line management in implementing established human resources policies, procedures, and practices to meet requirements supporting short
    and long-term business needs.
    Manages administration and implementation of recruitment, employee training and development, salary structure, compensation, benefits,
    performance appraisal and recognition plans, safety, health, and security programs.
    Ensures compliance of the organization’s practices with applicable labor legislation and collective labor agreements. Works with line managers to identify human resources issues/problems
    and provides counsel and support in finding solutions.
    Manages, motivates and assesses performance of a small team of HR professionals.
Education: Degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences or related field.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years in mining industry with at least 5 years at managerial level and recent experience in the mining industry.
