Outside Sales Representative

We are seeking a high caliber Outside Sales Representative to join our client in their Saskatoon office. The Outside Sales representative is the face of our client to the Customer and the Industry, and so is expected to be involved in local Industry associations and activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and maintain an active prospecting strategy to attract new customers
Timely and professional servicing to maintain and grow existing account base
Manage the blueprint takeoff process, and quoting & ordering processes through self-action lies with the outside sales representative.
Completion of RGAs, Credits, Service Orders, and other documents as required
Assisting the Credit department with receivable issues as required.
Addressing shipping and service issues as required, in conjunction with inside sales rep
Maximize profitability and volume for our client while minimizing errors
Provide training to Inside Sales on products and the customer as required.
Regular training of customers (builders, superintendents, salespeople, etc.) on items such as products, features and benefits, and processes ensuring current work instructions and policies are being adhered to.
Attend sales meetings, annual General Sales Meeting, and other educational training seminars
Communicate deficiencies in product and process through non-conformance reports (NCR’s)
Co-develop sales action plan with branch manager, while apprising the inside sales rep with relevant information.
Co-develop annual sales budget, prospecting strategy, and sales team goals and objectives in conjunction with branch manager
Continuous improvement of sales team’s processes and presentation skills
Co-develop strategies for tendering with the branch manager to ensure successful retention of existing new construction customer base and growth of new customers.
For dealer-specific representatives, police and enforce that dealer customers are adhering to current policy as outlined in dealer-specific documentation.
For dealer-specific representatives, attendance at industry trade shows and customer presentations will be required.
Actively present and promote direct interaction with end consumer (homeowner) to achieve incremental volume and profitability for each sale
Provide an accurate 3 month rolling booked sales forecast for the year, and provide regular updates throughout the month to the Sales Administrator
Meet annual and monthly sales budgets and booked forecast
Follow all current work instructions and policies and procedures.
Actively gather relevant market intelligence with respect to general industry and competitor developments and share with branch manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
2-3 years previous outside sales experience
Previous experience in window and/or residential construction industry
Strong computer skills in a Windows environment, with experience with Microsoft office programs.
Reliable personal transportation with good driving record required and valid drivers’ license
Ability to read blueprints and construction plans an asset
Post-secondary education, preferably with an emphasis on marketing/business administration
Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Outgoing and personable personality
Professional in appearance and conduct
Strong relationship selling abilities.
Involvement with networking and associations involving industry partners and customers.
