Network and Security Engineer

Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the internet its workings, dns, security, ip routing, http, vpn, email routing, spam, etc.

Configure plus setup firewalls, vpn concentrators security appliances for access to vital business applications. Design, setup configure complex switching environments. Design, setup as well as configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access plus the ability to support voice video applications.

Maintain a thorough understanding of local area networking. Assist in the design of multi-server environments including ip address schemes, dns, wins, etc. Configuring as well as installing client plus server network software for upgrading and maintaining network voip-based telecommunication systems. Maintaining multi-site network operations as well as software applications, operating systems plus regular maintenance with both private public facilities. Managing assigned projects program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.

Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel as well as outside vendors plus etc, to provide technical assistance support. Supervising the administration of systems servers related network to make sure availability of services to authorized users. Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware as well as software applications, telephones plus security systems to resolve operational issues restore services.

Responsible for data network disaster recovery planning implementation. To ensure proper protocols and processes are in place, network security engineers create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to server and security infrastructure. Based on findings, network security engineers write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.

Network security engineers work with a larger information security team to evaluate, test, and troubleshoot technologies.
