Senior BIM Design Technician – Multi-disciplinary, Location: Century City, Cape Town, Job Type: Full-Time. Be part of this well-established multidisciplinary consultancy and be part of a team preparing and delivering complex Revit / BIM models, and associated AutoCAD engineering drawings. Developing and Implementing of the day-to-day BIM related workflows, to meet organisational objectives. Mentoring and training other staff members on Revit / BIM related concepts and modelling. Take ownership of, setup and drive the continuous improvement, and creation, of the various discipline specific Revit project templates and families.

Have experience in and be able to produce two or more Discipline’s required outputs: Heating, ventilation and Air conditioning systems (HVAC): designs, models, sheets, and AutoCAD drawings. Wet-services and drainage, designs, models, sheets, and AutoCAD drawings. Electrical related: designs, models, sheets, and AutoCAD drawings. ICT related: designs, models, sheets, and AutoCAD drawings. Fire and Life safety: models, sheets, and AutoCAD drawings.

Day-to-day tasks: Liaise with engineering staff, to assess BIM and design requirements; Interact internally with fellow project team members to ensure a coordinated effort for BIM project delivery; Scrutinizing drawings for quality and design defects. BIM Model setup, managing worksets, setup of project specific view templates etc.

Liaising with external project coordinators with respect to BIM related issues and drive project related BIM workflows. Creation of AutoCAD drawings based on project needs, produced to company and related industry standards. Qualifications & Requirements: Must have 3-5+ years of experience in MEP Building services Revit/BIM modelling. Must have 3-5+ years of experience in MEP Building services AutoCAD draughting. Multi-disciplinary MEP experience, or Revit accreditation, as well as BIM management experience will be advantageous.
