Location: East London, Eastern Cape, Job Type: Full-Time. Store Manager / East London required to effectively plan, control and monitor the performance of the store to operate at an optimal level. Successful Candidate must be able to work under pressure and have high energy levels.

Minimum Requirements: Matric/NQF 4 level equivalent. Tertiary qualification in Retail Management/equivalent. At least 5 years’ experience in all aspects of day-to-day running and managing of a floor department of a Retail Warehouse. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel/Outlook. Industrial Relations experience required. Valid Driver’s License and own transport.

The suitable Candidate must be: Well Presented, neat and organized. Able to Manage conflict situations. Excellent problem-solving skills. Self-Driven. Must be able to work under pressure.

Able to build and maintain Customer and Supplier relations. Able to manage staff effectively -coaching/mentoring and disciplining.

Duties: Manage targets and profitability of all departments: Storage; Kitchen & homeware; Paper items; Cleaning; Impulse line; Toys & Entertainment Production/Catering; Stationery; Receiving. Manage Stock – Ordering/Stock adjustment; Floor cover; Security; Receiving; Bi-annual stock take. Manage Front end function – shifts/rosters; floats; Cashing up and balancing; Daily banking; Petty cash; Shortage/overage

Pricing and POS. Promotions – Stock levels. Housekeeping and Store layout. Manage Staff – Recruitment/Discipline/Training/Coaching/Performance Management; Leave; Personal administration. Manage Customers – Resolving customer complaints; advising customers. Open and Closing of Store. Salary: R22 – R25k negotiable depending on experience.
