Job Description
Established in 1997, Van Cheong Tea is one of the most trusted specialty tea brands in BC. The company is a specialized dealer of traditional tea and bubble tea from Mainland China, Taiwan and other East Asian countries, as well as tea sets such as teapot, dishes, trays, and cups, etc. The company has an immediate opening for Sales Manager.
Job Description:
1. Direct the operations of the company’s sales department
2. Determine and conduct hiring of sales specialists
3. Conduct training to sales specialists in tea knowledge and sales skills
4. Assign sales targets to sales specialists and propose reward/punishment schemes with regular review of their sales records
5. Initiate market research and determine local consumer demand and market trend of tea products
6. Manage key group purchase accounts, including tea distributors, tea retailers and tea beverage restaurants in BC especially in Great Vancouver Area
7. Coordinate the procurement system from country of origin, including purchase, storage, logistics and packaging, etc.
8. Monitor product quality control to ensure highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction
9. Explore and expand distribution networks to new tea retailers and tea beverage restaurants
10. Manage key customers’ orders, especially urgent orders, and resolve customers’ requests and complaints
11. Determine budgets for sales and marketing activities and report to General Manager for approval
12. Fulfill other duties assigned by General Manager
Requirements:
1. Advanced tea knowledge
2. Extensive working experience in tea industry
3. Sophisticated communication and business negotiation skills
4. Being able to work independently
5. Being able to lead team
6. Short term travel to target market or country of origin of tea may be required
7. Weekend shift and overtime shift may be required
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 9:00 am~5:30 pm, including 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Overtime and short-term travel may be required.
Location: Richmond, BC Compensation: Standard salary of $52,000 per year, year-end bonus is possible with excellent performance.
2 weeks of paid vacations.
