Location, Other, Northern Suburbs, Permanent Logistics Administrator, Job Type Full-Time, Successfully established Fruit Exporter based in the Northern Suburbs is seeking to employ a suitably experienced Logistics Administrator.

Requirements: Matric / National Senior Certificate. Relevant Tertiary Qualification. Minimum of 2 years similar working experience in the exports of perishable cargo. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proactive, hands-on and the ability to use initiative. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced MS Excel skills required). Good mathematical skills. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and with constantly changing deadlines. Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively. Knowledge of stock management systems i.e. Prophet, Paltrack or similar will be an advantage. Willing to work overtime and on weekends when required.

Key areas of performance: Gathering and capturing of export related data on the internal software system. Processing and submitting export documentation to forwarding to the agents and clients. Ensure that the correct fruit specifications are sent to the relevant cold stores prior to container loadings. Ensure shipping instructions are received and captured accurately, and submitted to the forwarding agent. Tracking of shipments and shipping documentation. Daily stock control. Attending to and resolving documentation related queries. Constant and effective communication with all stakeholders in the supply chain. Meeting strict and changing deadlines.
