Manager of Content Operations

MANAGER OF CONTENT OPERATIONS
This role is a new leadership position within Star Content Studios and central to the success and growth of an ambitious start-up group. Reporting to the Director of Content Development, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Star Content Studios leadership team. As the Manager of Content Operations, you are responsible for maintaining the integrity and high standard of work for all business deliverables while maximizing the efficiency of production. You will play a critical role in strategic planning and the execution of key initiatives. You will achieve business objectives by tapping into your operations experience to implement smart, sustainable workflow practices.
Key Responsibilities: Organization, Process & Quality Control
Develop and maintainprocesses and workflows to ensure the team consistently delivers campaign requirements on time and within budget; continuously improve processes and workflows where possible
Oversee and manage long term and day-to-day production requirements; establish policies and procedures with production, post production and content teams
Ensure that the team properly follows workflows, processes and procedures
Maintains a proactive relationship with other departments and key internal stakeholders with the ability to communicate the needs of Star Content Studios
Manage, direct and schedule day-to-day and long-range plans and priorities; anticipate requirements and investigate alternative approaches, where required
Establish and maintain performance metrics; track, analyze, and report performance on metrics
Manage subcontractor specifications, problems/issues, performance and administration
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team and manage the resolution of complex problems
Comply with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards
Leadership & Team Building: Support sales team in generating new business opportunities
Direct and indirect supervision of day-to-day operations
Manage staffing, employee performance, and team development to ensure all members of the team are adequately skilled in all aspects of their job
Evaluate the work of all production, post production and content teams, providing coaching and performance feedback to ensure that objectives are met and quality products are produced
Maintain a high degree of integrity in dealing with team members and clients
Vendor & Project Management: Design and implement lean production practices by maximizing production efficiencies and ensuring effective employee utilization
Efficient preparation and timely distribution of project updates & reports
Reviews and approves expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, materials and additional contract requirements
About You: Undergraduate degree in Business Management or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of operations experience
2-5 years of project management experience
Experience leading process improvement/workflow analysisinitiatives
Strong financial skills (i.e. costing, pricing models, business models)
Demonstrated leadership experience - the ability to inspire, support and direct staff are critical for success
Experience in stakeholder relations and relationship management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven track record as a self-starter capable of instigating, directing and overseeing rapid business growth
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, supervise and evaluate operations, maintenance work and modifications
