Job description
One-eyed Jack is looking for a dynamic, ambitious and energetic Cape Town based PR manager who loves music, festivals, comedy shows and extreme sporting events as much as publicity, writing and managing media.
Because that's what we do: we match cool brands with awesome events and then we market them with clever PR.

Requirements
- Experience within the entertainment, advertising and marketing fields.
- Have worked closely on various brands in several industries.
- Strong B2B PR experience: you'll be profiling our clients, their events and our agency
- A PR and communications degree (or similar field).
- Develop and implement creative and engaging publicity and communication strategies across all our projects and campaigns.
- Know your way around a dictionary. Actually you wrote the dictionary. You write like the bomb. And you'll be doing a lot of it.
- Have more than five years' experience dealing with media across all platforms: online, print, radio, TV.
- Develop and manage media plans, content angles, interviews and other PR buzzwords on a day-to-day basis. The media are our friends and we like them.
- Manage our clients with the love they deserve. They pay the bills.
- Speaking of bills: you should have passed maths and can manage budgets, spreadsheets and other things to do with numbers.
- Reports make you giddy and you can't wait to do them. Regularly.
- Play nice with others. You'll be working with a team.

- You know how to turn on a laptop and use it. Fast.
- You can travel fairly often and work long hours and weekends, but at really fun events.
Personal Skills/Attributes
- People management skills and a committed team worker.
- Self-motivating with strong service orientation. Micro-management is so 90s.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills. That dictionary thing again.
- Integrity, energy and creativity. In that order.
