Pre Check Engineer fluency in second european lanaguage beneficial

PRE-CHECK ENGINEER

This role involves working as part of a global team responsible for proactive customer service. The primary responsibility of this role is engaging with customers or EMC field representatives around the world by phone and email to coordinate/schedule remote maintenance activities.  The technical elements of this role involve connecting to customers systems to run predefined checks on the overall health of the system and compatibility of the planned activity with other connected systems.

 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Follow documented process and procedures
    Contact a range of EMC’s most prestigious customers who include members of NY Stock Exchange, top financial institutions and members of the FTSE 100
    Interact and build professional relationships with these customers all the while selling the benefits of our department
    Perform technical checks on customers system/environment
    Proactive and follow up communication to customers
    Act as a single point of contact for a range projects and processes associated with the role
    Build on existing process with improvements that you have seen

SKILLS

    Fluency in English and a European language is a benefit
    IT Qualification
    Communication and interpersonal skills
    Customer Focus and Accountability
    Multitasking
    Working knowledge of MS Outlook and other office applications
    Ability to execute in a team environment and on own initiative
    Good PC knowledge (Windows/Linux)
