Company Delivery Driver Class 5
Protec Dental Laboratories delivery drivers provide service to our customers in the lower mainland (city and highway driving) delivering light packages.
The main responsibilities of this position include driving and making up to 60 customer stops on a typical day working in all weather/driving conditions, delivering packages with a focus on customer service, as well as some general tasks performed in the main office (which account for approximately 20% of your day). We provide a logo'd company car (compact size), a PDA device and a uniform. This is a full-time position and we work Monday to Friday during business hours ((9:00am-5:30pm/9:30am -6:00pm). We do not offer part-time positions in this role. Company provides extended health and dental benefits after 3 months probation. All of our drivers operate out of our main office located near the Olympic Village in Vancouver.
This is an entry level position but our drivers have a history of growing into other positions so we are looking for a longterm fit with the ability to eventually contibute in other areas. We take time to ensure the right fit for our team so we have a 2 stage recruitment process involving telephone and in-person interviews for short-listed candidates and we have an established training process in place for all new drivers. Please note that while graduation from a recognized secondary school is not a requirement for the driver role, it is a requirement for many other positions in the organization should you wish to grow with our organization.
About You: Clean driving record and current class 5 license (you will need to bring a current abstract to an interview). Previous professional driving experience at a class 5 or 4 level is strongly preferred, airbrakes experience is not requested. Impeccable english language and communication skills; includes speaking and writing skills. customer service focused. Self-directed, organized, reliable and punctual. Thorough knowledge of lower mainland. Clean-cut appearance, non-smoker and positive attitude are a must as you will be the face of our company and you will be visiting clinical environments
