About the role
The Communications Manager is an exciting new role that will oversee all external communications activities for our EthicalJobs.com.au and Not-For-Profit People websites, focusing on our two main audiences: ethical job-seekers, and ethical employers.
We’re looking for someone to make sure all our communications – whether through blog posts, email or social media – The core of the role is daily research, writing and editing of blog posts, managing social media and email campaigns and putting together marketing and sales materials.
About You
You might be a former journalist, a copy-writer, a blogger or a communications coordinator/manager.
Either way, you've got a flair for clear and persuasive writing, you love writing all day, you know how to write for different audiences on varied topics, and you take real pride in producing work that is polished and engaging.
You know what makes a good title for a blog post, and what makes people on Facebook and Twitter pay attention to a post.
You’re someone who’s spent some time working in or with not-for-profits or social enterprises, so you already know about how these organisations work, and about the sort of people who work – and would like to work – in ethical jobs.
You’re friendly, fun and work well as part of a team, but you’ve also got initiative and you’re able to work well with little supervision.
Most importantly, you share our vision of a better world and would love the challenge of playing a leading role in a small, fast-growing social enterprise.
Responsibilities
    Conceive, research, write and edit content for our Ethical Jobs Blog and our Not-For-Profit People websites;
    Write and edit copy for all EthicalJobs.com.au and Not-For-Profit People email communications;
    Manage the social media presence for EthicalJobs.com.au and Not-For-Profit People across Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, including writing and responding to posts throughout the day;
    Write and edit copy for our other communications and marketing activities including surveys, sales and marketing materials, and downloadable resources for jobseekers and employers;
    Track and analyse the results of communications initiatives.
