Instrument Technician, Industrial (Controls Tech Reliable Controls)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, On Call, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $20.00 to $30.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable, Not required
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Type of Service and Repair: Pneumatic and electro-pneumatic sequential control systems, Electrical control systems, Distributed control systems (DCS), Temperature, pressure, flow and level instruments
Type of Instrument Experience: Pneumatic, Electronic
Type of Industry Experience: Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning
Specific Skills: Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems, Repair and adjust system components, Remove and replace defective parts, Install new control instruments
Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work, Complete test and maintenance reports, Read circuit diagrams, C++ or Visual Basic, Word processing, Spreadsheets
Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Enhanced reliability security clearance, Criminal record check
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own transportation, Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Ability to distinguish between colours, Sound discrimination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
