WIRE Women’s Information provides Victorian women with free and confidential support, information and referrals on any issues based on a feminist framework.

There is an exciting opportunity to join the team of one of Victoria’s best known women’s organisation. This contract provides you with the opportunity to further build WIRE’s capacity in improving economic outcomes for women.

Position Scope: The Project Officer will be responsible for the development, promotion, launch and evaluation of a website to support women to improve their financial outcomes. The Project Manager will liaise with other providers to create the website and online content, assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the material, promote and publicise the website, manage and promote the launch event, and then evaluate and report on the project.

This project will build on insights and piloted solutions from a previous project, including scripts about key financial topics, to deliver effective, engaging online material enabling women to become more engaged in financial decision making within their relationships.

Project Aims: The project aims to increase women’s ability to participate in financial decision making within their intimate relationships by: Providing practical conversation scripts on key financial topics, and video examples, which will build women’s capacity to negotiate, engage and create a meaningful financial relationship with their partners, and manage financial stress at key points, including relationship breakdown and taking time out from the workforce to have children.

To increase women’s access and engagement with existing financial information and resources through building confidence and capability and providing links to financial literacy products aimed at women
