Our client is a respected and very well established Australian not-for-profit body, who provide important services to the community. These are exciting times for them and you as they are about to embark on the submission of a number of major tenders and projects. This means that they now require a Business Development Officer to successfully collaborate with a talented team to help achieve their objectives.

The Opportunity: You will assist an experienced and skilled team in the research, writing, submission and management of tenders. In addition the fortunate applicant will be central to the establishment and management of key stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities include: Engage key stakeholders from neighboring business areas for their input in to submissions, Ensure deadlines are met in a timely and professional manner, Actively source tender and grant opportunities. Undertake background research, ensuring you draft high quality funding applications and provide project management support, Assist in the research, writing, submission and management of responses to bids, major grants, tenders and other projects, Develop and provide accurate reporting as required

To be considered you must have: Relevant Professional Qualifications within Health, Business, Journalism or Communications. Previous experience in writing successful tender and grant submissions. Excellent interpersonal communication skills including an ability to liaise with executives, health professionals, community and other organisations. Excellent written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to produce high quality written documentation including reports and submissions. Demonstrated administration and organisational skills. Demonstrated skills in assessing and evaluating information and data. High level computer skills including demonstrated experience with Windows based packages, email and internet. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as self-motivated to work independently.
