Our client, the Business Council of Manitoba, is seeking its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Established in 1998 to leverage the experience and commitment of Manitoba's business leaders, the Business Council of Manitoba researches and advocates innovative positions on major public policy issues that impact the future competitiveness and quality of life in Manitoba. The Council's next CEO must build on the achievements of the organization while ensuring it remains influential and relevant for years to come. Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will establish a compelling vision and strategic direction for the organization and ensure effective implementation. As a Council representative, you will vigorously guard its reputation and values. You will engage members in discussion and dialogue to crystallize united policy positions, reflecting the non-partisan principles inherent in the work of the Council. Additionally, you will develop and nurture positive working relationships with politicians and senior public sector leaders at all levels of government and effectively and consistently communicate the positions of the Council to enhance understanding and awareness. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated successful track record of working effectively with senior business leaders as well as public sector officials across all party lines. Coupled with excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills, you will have a strong understanding of the policy environment at the municipal, provincial and federal level and be attuned to public opinion in this province. You will have extensive experience facilitating discussion and consultation using traditional and innovative techniques to engage a wide audience. You will have a strong professional presence, the ability to develop trust and credibility in all relationships and a commitment and passion for the betterment of Manitoba.
