Long standing Structural commercial engineering businesses based in Fourways & Botswana specializing in Raft and RC suspended concrete ribbed floor designs are looking to form a close association with an experienced structural engineer or a small consulting practice based in or near Fourways or in Gaborone, Botswana. The scope of works required of this engineer would   include.

RAFT: A preliminary design based on the load take down (received from the resident site engineer on any given project.) This requires the actual design (ie. modelling the raft, carrying out the reinforcement calculations, developing details and associated checking/ reviewing/ as applies. The model for the raft for the building /determines the applicable Bending moments and shear force parameters. In a general sense this forms a basis. A rebar weight per cubic meter is then used, which is related specifically to the type of beam and matched with the Bending moment/Shear force from the model design. This provides a good indication of the rebar required with a small margin of error. Final reinforcing schedules and detailed raft layout are then prepared by our junior structural engineer for the approval of and Pr. Eng. Certification by the proposed associate engineer.

Suspended Concrete Floors – The design and related calculations would be prepared by the proposed associate engineer.  Detailed structural working drawings would emanate from our drawing office for the approval of and Pr.
