Our client, a highly reputable, multi-platform, global media company, is currently looking for a Data & Digital Media Lawyer to provide commercial law support, advising on data risk, privacy and protection matters drafting a range of digital and technology contracts.

The successful candidate will work full time, on a permanent basis. The Data & Digital Media Lawyer will be supporting a highly skilled and dynamic legal team, across all media territories, advising the business on matters relating to data risk, privacy and protection, including the impact of the GDPR and PECR assisting the business in refining its systems and processes. You will also provide in-house training on regulatory and compliance data issues, support the organisations subscribers and draft and negotiate digital, web publishing and technology contracts. The client is looking for the Data & Digital Media Lawyer to start immediately and will report directly to a Senior Legal Counsel within the team and enjoy a competitive salary.

The ideal candidate will possess: Between one and three year’s PQE (law firm or in-house). Expertise in data privacy, data risk, data protection and technology law. Core understanding of data protection in print and digital, including GDPR and ePrivacy regulations. Excellent drafting and commercial contract negotiating experience. A core understanding of Data Protection and GDPR regulations. A personable team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
