You will be Responsible for:
• Analysis, design, and inspection of steel, concrete and wood framed structures.
• Developing and preparing engineering designs, drawings and specifications.
• Writing technical reports, and proposals.
• The ability to work in the field in a quality and safe manner.
• Calculating cost and feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data.
• Other responsibilities and duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Completion of post-secondary education with a degree in structural/civil engineering.
• Familiar with CSA design standards, National Building Code of Canada and structural analysis tools and software such as STAAD or S-Frame.
• Operate computer-assisted design and drafting software (AutoCAD).
Skills:
• An excellent working knowledge with the Microsoft Suite of products.
• Ability to multi-task and accept new and varied challenges.
• Able to take directions and perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills and have the ability to meet deadlines.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Strong technical structural engineering interest in a consulting environment.
Conditions:
• Travel may be required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
